Pantone Announces The Color of 2018
As Pantone choose the colour of the year, the colour becomes the trend color in many areas from cosmetics to textiles, home decoration to automotive. Kylie Jenner was one of the first to wear this color at the Marie Claire Imagemaker Awards night.
Ultra Violet, which is a mixture of blue and red, will appear frequently this year. You can use this color, which evokes luxury and glamor, not only in clothes, but also in shoes, bags, jewelry and accessories.
You can combine Ultra Violet, which you can use with white and black without thinking, with pastel yellow, gray and olive green colors. With orange, you can get a vintage look, but here you need to be careful to find the right and harmonious shade of orange. If the most flamboyant piece of the combination you are wearing is Ultra Violet, you will avoid a confused image when you use other matching colors on a small accessory such as bracelet, necklace, shawl. The gold and metallic colors, which we will continue to see this season, blend perfectly with Ultra Violet.
The situation is not very different in make-up, purple breezes have already taken their place in cosmetic products. A lipstick in Ultra Violet color to be used with a simple eye make-up is enough to attract all the attention.
If you want to use it in daily make-up, you can get a striking but simple look by applying Ultra Violet eyeshadow to the fold area.
Leatrice Eiseman, Managing Director of Pantone Color Institute, explains the color of this year as follows;
“We live in a time that requires innovation and imagination. PANTONE 18-3838 Ultra Violet, a blue-based purple that takes our awareness and potential to a higher level, is a natural source of inspiration. ”
It is up to us to use this natural source of inspiration with our imagination.
